Sanannguagait Building Blocks Project

Inspiré du syllabaire Inuktitut, ce jeu de construction est dédié aux communautés du Nunavik. Il a été conçu par Victor Bernaudon et développé au sein du laboratoire N360, dirigé par Patrick Evans, professeur à l'École de design de l’UQAM. Processus de production par David Allard Martin et Marco Landry. Design graphique par Sébastien Daigle. Remerciements particuliers pour leurs collaborations à Tommy Pallisser de l'Association des hommes d'Inukjuak (UNAAQ), Julie-Ann Berthe et Maryse Turcot de l’Administration régionale Kativik, Thomassie Mangiok, Nelly Duvicq, Richard Compton, Georges Filotas, Vincent Bisserié, ainsi qu'à la garderie et l’école primaire d'Ivujivik. La réalisation de ce jeu a été rendue possible grâce au projet de recherche ‘’Habiter le Nord Québécois’’ subventionné par le CRHS.
En mars 2018 nous avons livré 19 copies du jeu aux enseignants des 14 villages du Nunavik.

Inspired by Inuktitut syllabics, this construction game is dedicated to Nunavik’s communities. Special thanks for the collaboration of Tommy Pallisser and the Men’s Association of Inukjuak (UNAAQ), Julie-Ann Berthe and Maryse Turcot from the Kativik Regional Government, Thomassie Mangiok, Nelly Duvicq, Richard Compton, Georges Filotas and Vincent as well as to Ivujivik’s daycare and primary school. This project was made possible through the support of the SSHRC-funded research project ‘Living in Northern Quebec’.
In march of 2018 we were able to deliver 19 copies of the game to teachers from Nunavik's 14 villages.
