Station polaire net-zéro. Encastrée dans une crête, la station est exposée à des vents pouvant aller jusqu’à 300 km/h. Son design aérodynamique lui permet de résister aux conditions éoliennes par la gestion de la neige en mouvement et de la pression du vent. Un garage souterrain profond de plusieurs mètres sert à ancrer la station au pergélisol.

 

Net zero polar station. Embedded into a ridge, the station is exposed to high-velocity winds (up to 300 km/h). Recirculating snow and wind pressure are managed by the aerodynamic design of the station, by which its robustness is optimized. It is anchored to the permafrost by an underground garage going several meters deep.
