Ce projet théorique, exposé au CIAM en 1959, explore les réalités subarctiques et représente une approche régionaliste du design, en opposition à l’universalisme de l’architecture moderne de l’époque. Définissant plusieurs concepts importants du design urbain nordique, ce projet représente une approche alternant entre la célébration de l'extérieur et la protection à l’intérieur régie par le rythme des saisons.

 

Theoretical project exhibited at CIAM in 1959 which explores the subarctic realities and represents a regional approach to design as opposed to the universalism of modern architecture at the time. Putting forward several important concepts for northern urban design, this project represents an alternating approach between celebration of the outside and protection within through the rhythm of the seasons.
